How to playEach member of the group thinks of a true fact that she would like other group members to know about her. This should be a personal statement about an ability, like or dislike. Players introduce themselves to each other in pairs and share their personal statements. All pairs then walk around the room together introducing their partners and responding to introductions from others. For example, ‘This is Moira and she loves swimming,’ ‘Hello Moira, I’m Jan and this is Ryan. He’s really good at drawing cartoons.’

Adaptation Players invent something amazing to say about their partner, based on what is already known about his or her interests and personality. For example, ‘This is Moira and she is the youngest person ever to swim the Channel.’

ReflectionChildren don’t normally introduce each other in such a formal way but when might such formal introductions be used? How else might we get to know facts about each other?
